New Years Resolutions....Positive or Pressure?

Firstly HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My gosh are we really at the start of another year?
Before I actually get onto talking about the title of this blog, I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone who reads these entries. It was this time last year that I decided to write my very first blog entry....It was a very random decision and one day I just thought I would give it a go! I had become passionate about various areas of lifestyle and had seen such a positive impact on my life, I wanted to share with others my journey in the hope that it might spark some thoughts for others to trial and error with different lifestyle changes. My blog is VERY small scale and only reaches a small number of people BUT I have had so much positive feedback over the year from those of you that do read it, and have loved hearing about changes you have made after being inspired by my stories. I hope you continue to enjoy reading what is to come this year and please do keep chatting with me about your positive changes, I love to hear your feedback and success stories!

Right let's get back to it....

Are you a fan of new year's resolutions? Here's my take on it... I do think that a new year gives us an opportunity to reflect and give us a nudge up the back side to rethink some of the areas in our life that we would like to work on. Now the tricky bit is actually putting that into action in a way that is long term, sustainable and realistic.
So what are the best ways to try and achieve this...
-
Take small manageable steps - You are already busy and overwhelmed, small steps in the right direction aren't going to get you there fast but they are going to get you to your destination one reachable step at a time.
-
Seek help from someone that understands - You don't have to do it alone, find an expert in that field who you connect with and let them help. Could you do it on your own, potentially? Could you plough through endless free content to find a way forward, possibly? Or do you want someone who understands you by your side guiding you through?
-
Set your expectations in the right place - If you start with a blurred unrealistic vision of what you want you will feel disappointed and tempted to give up if your expectations are not meet. Be realistic from the outset.

So if one of your new years target includes pilates, breathing, mindfulness, mum anxiety or you just want to start making positive lifestyle changes then I may well be your expert of choice to work with (I promise you I'm very friendly and relatable) Whether you want to attend my small, personable pilates classes (in person or online), sign up to my self paced online anxiety toolkit course or work with me 1:1 on pilates/breathing then take a look through my website, other blog entries or contact me for more information on how we can work together. New opportunities will be opening up throughout the year so stay tuned with what's to come by signing up to my Newsletter and emails (I promise I don't send loads of spam emails, firstly because I just don't have the time to write them LOL and secondly I know most of us are already overwhelmed with messages, so I will keep them minimal and interesting)

To all my past, present and future clients, readers and learners, here's a healthy and happy 2025! Let's do this together!
